Parking:  The Courthouse does not have parking for the public. Although there are meters on Calvert and Fayette Streets it is not suggested that you depend on them because of restrictions on street parking and the number of people using them at the time of day.  Cost of those meters is $0.25 per 15 minutes.

Metro and Light Rail Information: The Light Rail has a station at Howard and Baltimore Streets, from there you can transfer to a MTA bus to the Courthouse.  The Metro Subway Charles Center Station exits at the east end of Charles Center onto Baltimore and Calvert Streets.

Additional Helpful Information:

  • The entrance to the Court House (Courthouse East) is located on Calvert Street, between Fayette and Lexington.  The sign on the building reads "Court House East / U.S. Postal Building"  and is directly across the street from the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Courthouse.

  • There will be no provision for childcare.

  • Most of the seating in the courthouse consists of wooden benches. Those with physical problems may want to bring a cushion.
