Brief Description of the Program: This is a non-profit project which handles divorce, custody, support, visitation, modification petitions, and contempt for residents of Montgomery County.

Hours for walk-in service: Mondays - Fridays, 8:30AM - 4:30PM. The project will be closed on Court holidays and may not open or may close early in the event of bad weather.

Type of Legal Problems Handled by this Program: This project provides information and advice in Family Law matters and assistance in preparing standard forms involving divorce, custody, visitation, child support, modification of child support, custody or visitation orders, contempt issues, and petitions to modify birth or marriage certificates. This project currently does not assist with guardianships, settlement agreements, exceptions, appeals and name-changes.
Types of Help That This Program Offers: This project provides one-on-one in-person assistance, providing an initial screening for legal problems, help with Domestic Relations forms and instructions supplied by the Court Clerk, legal information and advice, and referrals to other agencies. In addition to the standard Domestic Relations forms, the project has created a "Petition to Amend Birth/Marriage Certificate," a "Motion to Suspend 2-507," a "Certificate of Service" and other forms. The project's forms are available
on-line.
Are there income requirements for service?
